Core Score is an innovative soft skills assessment for entry- and mid-skill workers that measures core
competencies and can be used to articulate the potential gaps in a worker’s experiences and knowledge,
assuring proper alignment to training opportunities.
Skills-based hiring has provided the city of Albuquerque a higher quality applicant pool and significant
return on investment in our hiring practices. It has also allowed us to replace the GED requirements with
skills scores which then opened up a significant population of applicants we would not have seen before.
